Rapid Action Initiated Defence (RAID) is a uniquely different approach to modern self defence courses and conflict management. Our commitment is to provide the highest quality and international standards of street martial arts instruction so that you can accomplish your goals and meet your needs. The system is designed for anyone that wishes to discover personal security and develop realistic self defence concepts for the real world today. RAID is not gender, age or physical prowess biased as people of all ages and backgrounds can learn it.

RAID Cambridge with Jo and John conducting training classes and courses are leaps ahead of any self defence teachings in the area. Their professionalism to the protection of people is commendable. Jo is only the second women to be licensed to deliver the RAID Self Defence sylabus .

An amazing experience, I now feel safer when walking alone on my commute home in the dark! The instructors were informative and fun, enabling us to learn the skills necessary to defend from any attackers. They pushed us out of our comfort zones in a way which still made us feel safe and that we were in control, putting us into life-like situations. Would definitely do this again, and recommend for everyone to take part in this.

Attended a session conducted at my school and went home with great insight and skill. The instructors are extremely friendly and you feel comfortable and confident around them. I learned the basic art of protecting myself in the unfortunate case of a physical attack as well as how to do it in a lawful manner. Definitely recommend them!

I really enjoyed the RAID course I completed. I learnt a range of skills and techniques for keeping myself safe and learnt to diffuse situations wherever possible. I feel able to protect myself if confronted in a variety of circumstances. The instructors were knowledgable and professional but kept the sessions fun and engaging!
